Welcome

A very warm welcome to my blog, which is mostly about card-making, a bit about work and family, and a few odds and ends. I am fairly new to this blogging lark, so please bear with me if I make some glaring errors.

I'll be delighted if you would like to become a follower, so please leave me details of your blog, as I'd love to visit.

horse-racing card

This is for our son-in-law, Garry, who's one of the good guys: very hard-working, loves his family and is an all-round thoroughly nice chap.  He prepared a scrummy lunch for us on Mother's day, and it was lovely to just sit and relax with the family.

I decided on a "Trinitage" horse-racing card from La Pashe, which was great fun to do.  This is my first time at one of these cards, and the only problem I found was that the card tubes between the layers were too thick.  I'll be sure to make them from much thinner card next time so they lie flatter.  I also had to colour the top of the tubes with copic markers so that they didn't show so much.  I found the "grass" paper in a magazine, and I loved it so much I now want lots more!

The front of the card is quite plain, with just decoupage and a sentiment.  Simples!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  Please feel free to add any comments below.  xx Jill
