Welcome

A very warm welcome to my blog, which is mostly about card-making, a bit about work and family, and a few odds and ends. I am fairly new to this blogging lark, so please bear with me if I make some glaring errors.

I'll be delighted if you would like to become a follower, so please leave me details of your blog, as I'd love to visit.

Pearl Wedding Anniversary

This was a comissioned bookatrix card for friends whose daughter and her husband are celebrating their Pearl Wedding Anniversary.  She chose a design very similar to a wedding card I made recently, but wanted pearls, pink and ivory.  The design paper is Hunkydory cream swirls, with pink pearlised, and gold linen cardstock.  The peeloffs and the sentiment are from the Glittergirls, and the flowers and heart gem from Hobbycraft.  The gold flower finding and the tiny pink pearls are from Jill at The Hobby House. The irridescent ribbon on the bookmark is from my stash.

I made a box to fit the card, and decorated it to match, using a patp double loop punch from Martha Stewart, and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, with some lovely gold findings and tiny pearls from Jill at The Hobby House.

The inserts were computer generated
