Welcome

A very warm welcome to my blog, which is mostly about card-making, a bit about work and family, and a few odds and ends. I am fairly new to this blogging lark, so please bear with me if I make some glaring errors.

I'll be delighted if you would like to become a follower, so please leave me details of your blog, as I'd love to visit.

Happy New Year to you everyone!!

This was the final Christmas card I made this year for Tracy, our beautiful daughter in law to be.

She was full of wedding plans when we visited our son and his family in Huddersfield.  Charlotte is now nearly six, and quite the young lady, whilst dear little Joshua is just 12 weeks old, and the poor little soul was miserable with a nasty cold.

This is one of my very favourite WOJ stamps "Willow with lantern" which is quite old now, but still gets inked up every year, and coloured with copic markers of course.  The bps are Kars Christmas papers from last year and they are really scrumptious glittered and embossed little beauties.

Apologies again for the odd coloured pictures.  Nothing I take in artificial light has the right colour, so it all looks very orangey, rather than the rather pretty two shades of peach irl, which actually matches the colour of the bps.  Not that you can tell from the pic!  Sorry to keep whingeing on, but I'm just really keen to have a nice bright morning to take some photos in natural light, and it doesn't seem to be anytime soon.

I've used that MS branch punch (again and again and again!!) with an EK holly punch and the obligatory Stardust Stickles.  The tiny roses are from WOC and the poinsettias from The Hobby House, both coloured with copic markers and sprayed with gold glimmer mist.  The sentiment was from that lovely Papermania Classic Christmas set this year, but again has been coloured to match, as was the plain card, as I had nothing to match otherwise.

Thanks for visiting, and Happy New Year to you all!  xx Jill

A very pretty card, love the flower arrangements. You should be able correct the colours in your photo editing software but I agree you can't beat natural daylight.
