Welcome

A very warm welcome to my blog, which is mostly about card-making, a bit about work and family, and a few odds and ends. I am fairly new to this blogging lark, so please bear with me if I make some glaring errors.

I'll be delighted if you would like to become a follower, so please leave me details of your blog, as I'd love to visit.

sympathy card for stillborn baby

I think this is one of the hardest cards I've ever made.  It was commissioned to send sympathy to a couple whose baby girl was stillborn, which is really tragic.

I used pearlescent card for all the white, with embossed dots (Cuttlebug folder) and an embossed sentiment (Papermania folder).  The trellis is an EK punch, as is the punch for the little flowers, and the butterfly is from Hobbycraft.  The leaves are punched with an MS punch, from pearlescent paper coloured with copic markers.  I used Incredibly Tacky glue from WOC to attach all the elements.  The poem inside was sent by a fellow dc member, so very many thanks for that.

It just makes me so thankful that we have been so fortunate in our family.  Thank you for visiting my blog, and for any comments you'd like to leave.  xx Jill
